Pranayama for morning sickness

If you're experiencing any signs of morning sickness, try this breathing exercise to help curb any feelings of nausea;

Find a quiet moment.
Sit in a comfortable position, either in a chair or on the floor, allow you spine to find its natural curves and gently rest your hands on your baby, cradling your new growing baby in your hands.
Softly close your eyes and turn your attention to your breath.

Begin inhaling deeply through your nose, with a closed mouth. Inhale deeply and slowly for the count of five into your belly. Feel your belly rising as you inhale, and your baby being drawn into your hands.
At the end of your inhalation pause for 2-3counts, then slowly, slowly exhale for the count of five, allowing your belly to soften on your exhalation.
Repeat for ten breaths with the following affirmation;
' With each breath I take I send nourishment to my growing baby'
You can practice this daily three to four times.

Remember experiencing Morning Sickness, maybe your bodies way of telling you to slow down and take things easy. Listening to your body is the true essence of any yoga practice.
